Hi everyone! I'm two months old now and look at what I can do!!!
My favorite Joey Impression:
"How YOU doin'?"
I'm really good at tummy time and am already pushing up!
I like to stick my tongue out at Mommy. She always has a stinkin camera in my face. Sheesh lady.
I like to play with my big brother Corgan. He loves me so much and calls me Baby Caiden. He's so cool!

Starkey Hearing Foundation
This is a picture of Corgan at the Starkey Hearing Foundation event we went to on Monday. They gave out free t-shirts to the kids and since Corgan was the youngest one there by about three years, the smallest shirt was enormous on him, but he still wanted to put it on! He wore it all day and they kept taking pictures of him and even did a video of him getting his hearing aids to use for promotional things. My kid's a star!!! ;) Just kidding.
I am really impressed with Corgan! He is such a good kid! We were at this thing for FIVE HOURS just sitting there and he was phenomenal! He sat in his stroller and played with his car, colored and flirted with all the people there. I didn't get to take many pictures since I had Caiden with me the whole time, and he was being very demanding, wanting to be held ALL of the time. I think he was jealous that Corgan was getting all the attention!

Fun couple of days
Yesterday I went to have my teeth cleaned. That's all, just cleaned. I ended up getting not one, but TWO root canals!!!! What was supposed to be a thirty minute ordeal ended up taking THREE HOURS. Grrrrrr. That makes SEVEN teeth that have had to have root canals. That's what I get for not taking care of my teeth in college. Serves me right.
This morning we had to get up at 5:00 to take Corgan to the Pediatric Surgery Center in Plano to have his tube removed from his right ear. He's had a bad ear infection for the past few weeks that finally cleared up to the point where they could get in there and remove the nasty yucky infection incrusted tube. Doesn't that paint a pretty picture?
Before they took him back the nurse gave him a sedative to make him real relaxed before they put him under anesthesia, essentially turning him into a big slug. The nurse picked him up and took him back and not fifteen minutes later, he was in recovery! I had LITERALLY just picked up my book to sit back and relax for a minute and the doctor came in to give us a report on how everything went. They removed the tube without any problems, but there is a tiny tear in his eardrum that they are going to give a year to heal on it's own. With my luck, we'll be back at the surgical center on April 20, 2008.
Corgan was really upset after he woke up. He was literally unconsolable. It really broke my heart to hear him cry and not be able to do anything to help him feel better. He was just miserable. The nurse gave him some Ibuprofen and not ten minutes later he threw it all up, all over me, all over Boggy, all over himself. Poor baby. Anyway, we finally got to come home and we took it easy today. After a FOUR HOUR NAP (WOO HOO!!!!) he was like himself again. His ear is bleeding quite a bit, which is NASTY, but normal.
So, let me just tell you what. I'm tired. I'm grumpy. My teeth hurt and I have a headache. Enough of the uplifting material, I will now sign off.

Let's go fly a kite!!!
Father and son time... Travis and Corgan tried (tried being the operative word here) to fly a kite yesterday. They had fun trying!
Knock Knock!
Caiden told me the funniest joke the other day...
"Knock Knock!"
"Who's there?"
"Knock Knock!"
"Who's there?"
"Dishes!"
"Dishes who?"
"Dishes your baby! Gimme a kiss!"
"HEE HEE HEE!!!"
"Awww come on. You know you laughed!"

Baby Grins...
Caiden has the sweetest little smile that just melts my heart! He smiles with his whole body, moving his arms and legs around, cooing and flirting. He is such a happy, sweet baby and I love him so much! He smiles at balloons, his brother and right after a nap.
Caiden is really growing FAST!!!! He already weighs almost eleven pounds!!! The kid nurses all the time and refuses to take a pacifier. Stinker.
The other day I about had a heart attack. I had strapped Caiden in his car seat and walked out of the room for JUST A SECOND when I heard this THUNK and a high pitched squeal. My heart dropped when I ran back into the living room and saw the car seat upside down. I screamed and scared Corgan who started crying and put my hand under the car seat to see if Caiden's head had hit the carpet. Apparently those car seats are freaking amazing. He was just upside down, but strapped in where his head wasn't falling forward at all. Thank heaven. I was shaking so bad, pulled him out of the car seat and held him and Corgan, with all three of us crying. It scared me sooooo freaking bad. I have never felt so sick. Caiden seemed a little dazed so I went ahead and took him to the doctor, who told me that he was absolutely fine, but had a yeast infection and thrush.... Sigh.
How is it that children survive? How?!

Confessions...
It's time for me to come clean to everyone. I've struggled with it my whole life. I'm an addict!!! Yes, it's true. I, Kelly Cole, am addicted to many many things. Nothing ILLEGAL of course. I'm not hiding in the bathroom smoking crack or anything, but when I like something, I can't get enough of it. I jones for it day and night. It really is a good thing that I'm Mormon, or I'd be a total lush.
Here are some of the things I cannot live without...
- Whataburger. They have the freaking best scrambled eggs. Seriously. And sodas. For some reason, Whataburger sodas just rock. I can have cans of soda in the fridge, but I will get in my car and drive to Whataburger to get a Diet Coke. Weird.
- Grey's Anatomy. Thanks, Danielle. I am now completely addicted to the drama at Seattle Grace Hospital. I'm in love with McDreamy. Oh, yes.
- Working out. I get really pissy when I haven't worked out in a while. After I had Caiden I did walking workouts on DVD because I wasn't supposed to go to the gym. I'm a freaking nut. But I am so completely addicted to the endorphins.
- McDonald's ice cream. And since it's "low fat" I get two of them! Woo hoo!!!
- Starburst Jelly Beans. They are scrumptious.
- Scrabble Blast. Love it! If you're ever on the phone with me and I don't seem to be paying very much attention, tell me to quit playing Scrabble. That is almost definitely what I am doing.
That's pretty much all for now. And in a few months, my addictions will have changed. In high school I was addicted to Mountain Dew and Junior Mints my Junior year (they had to be consumed at the same time...) and my Senior year it was Diet Dr. Pepper and York Peppermint Patties. I'm weird.

Good Cake!
A couple of Saturdays ago we went to Zach's second birthday party. Corgan really enjoyed the cake. Can you tell? That resulted in one wicked sugar rush...
