Wow...

I am amazed I remembered my password. It's been quite a while since I've updated my blog. I had just about decided to totally cancel it but thought of all the thousands of people I would disappoint. Ok, maybe just one. My mom... ;)

Update on me and mine...

I'm still working for LA Fitness. I'm currently over the Preston at LBJ club and Carrollton. Right now I teach eight classes a week, which isn't bad at all except I teach every single day of the freaking week and get noooooo time off whatsoever. I've actually been having a bit of trouble with burnout, but am pushing through it...

Corgan is still attending his school in Denton and is learning so much. Every day his backpack is full of all the awesome things he learned at school. He is quite the artist! I love his pictures... My favorite is probably the pictures he did of day and night. The day picture is on a light blue piece of paper with a sun and smiling people, a flower and some trees. Night is a picture of a monster, a ghost, the moon and a thunderstorm. Niiiiice...

Caiden is growing by leaps and bounds! He has the funniest personality and likes to pretend he's batman, superman, spiderman or Charlie Brown. Yes. Charlie Brown. He'll change his voice and run around the house acting like the character. If you make the mistake of calling him Caiden, he'll say, "I'm not Caiden. My name is Charlie Brown." Ohhhkay....

Travis is still working and going to school. He took this semester off which was so nice! Gives me a taste of what it will be like when he FINALLY finishes in May.

My computer crashed recently so Travis is making me use his Mac. I went into the Mac world kicking a screaming and actually think I like it! Now I'm going to probably start doing crazy things like recycling, driving a hybrid, eating tofu and doing yoga. Cause ya know that's what Mac people do...

Pictures to follow soon!!! I promise!

Blessed!

Life is good. I have a wonderful family, cute kiddos, great friends and an awesome job! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I got a bit of a promotion of sorts and have been a little crazy the past couple of weeks! I am now the aerobic coordinator of TWO LA Fitnesses, and am trying to figure out how to divide my time up evenly between both gyms, my family and my friends. And still get two hour naps in every day. It's been a bit of a challenge, but things are going super well so far! I love my job!

Last night I taught to a group of 60, which I haven't done, um, ever. It was FANTASTIC! The energy in the room was as thick as the sweat. It rocked! I had a weird moment last night during my second class, where my mind wandered and I thought, "I can't believe I'm doing this. I can't believe I am leading a group of 30 in a step routine. I can't believe when I point right, they think they're supposed to point too..." Every once in a while, I'll hear my voice over the speakers, see the people sweating, and be completely wowed. Aside from being a mommy, this is by far one of the most amazing, rewarding careers ever. I love it!

So, if you don't hear from me as often as you used to, never fear. I'll get my butt in order and be back to blogging!

Christmas Morning

I know, I know. Christmas morning was over a month ago, but I finally got these off of my camera and wanted to share them with you! Here is an awesome pic of Caiden when he walked around the corner and saw all the plunder under the tree!

Corgan was pretty excited, too!
And... I guess Daddy was too. This picture just cracks me up every time I see it! HEE HEE!!!

Corgan and Nana

One of Corgan's favorite people is his Nana. Nana and Corgan have a special bond that began when I was pregnant with him! She flew out to Georgia where we were living at the time and was with me when I had the ultrasound where I found out he was a boy. That was the day we began calling the baby "Corgan". Mom flew back out to Georgia two weeks before I had Corgan and stayed three weeks after he was born (add it up... FIVE WEEKS!). Four months after Corgan was born Travis lost his job, we sold our home and moved in with Mom and Dad for a month while Travis found a job in Texas. For about a year or more after that I worked at the clinic in Paris regularly, staying for several days out of the month with mom and dad. During the stressful weeks of Potty Training, the only real motivation for Corgan was that when he was totally potty trained, he could stay with Nana for THREE days. (It was really incentive for ME too...) Anyway, I think it's so awesome that Corgan has such great grand parents on both sides because that is something I really didn't have.

For Corgan's Birthday Party at his school, we made these really awesome snowmen treats (thanks Mom!!!) All it took was....
1. Powdered Sugar Donuts...

2. Dots

3. Black Cake Decorating Gel

4. Cute Kid

5. Place the Dot in the Donut Hole for the nose...

6. Use gel for eyes and mouth

Corgan had a blast making these things!

Can you tell he tried a few out, just to make sure they tasted ok? At his party the next day, each kid ate at least two. Corgan porked out and had three and a half. Ms. Ray said it was a spaghetti lunch day so the kids were starving. Just doing my part to combat child hunger... Or propogate child obesity. Whatever.

Play Doh ROCKS

The ASL (American Sign Language) class at a High School in Denton adopted Corgan's preschool class for Christmas this year. They had fundraisers and donated their own money to buy the kiddos a bunch of toys for Christmas. So cool! Corgan came home from school super excited that day and talked all about the party and the "new food" he tried (still trying to figure that one out....). He had a big black trash bag full of all kinds of great toys! His FAVORITE was a huge canister of play-doh toys. He was so excited to break into the play-doh that he even consented to share with Baby Caiden...

I thought it was so neat for a bunch of teenagers to take the time to bring some joy into the lives of little kids... It really truly brought tears to my eyes... Especially when I had to clean up the mess. ;)
