***** UPDATE *****

Please note that Caiden was never ever ever actually in the dryer while it was on. Nor will he or any other living creature ever be in the dryer when it is in operation. It is not a toy... Sorry if I've offended anyone. But, you know me. I'm offensive! (*love you ul!!!)

Yay!!!

I am finally FINALLY feeling like a normal person again. And no, I am NOT pregnant. Thank heaven. No, I was just sick with one thing after another for four and a half weeks. Not that I was counting. On Monday I came down with a WICKED stomach virus and think it cleaned out my system. To put it bluntly. Cause that's what I do. Keeping it real.

Anyway, I still love my job as an aerobics coordinator for the newest LA Fitness in DFW and am having so much fun learning all the formats and teaching about 8 classes a week. Right now I'm teaching Bodyworks (weights), Kickboxing, Club Box (boxing with bags... soooo fun), Boot Camp, Aqua, Step, and am currently learning cycle and pilates. Let's all say a quick prayer that I never have to teach Hip Hop or Latin... This white girl can't dance.

I am getting my personal training certification the end of January and will be able to make my own hours with that, probably only working two days a week... We shall see....

When Mommy is Sick....

When Mommy is sick for three weeks....

  • Her blog is never updated.
  • She still has to teach 12+ classes a week at the gym.
  • She still "gets" to cook Thanksgiving dinner.... and clean up the kitchen.
  • She gets nice long naps thanks to her loving husband.
  • Corgan gives her bandaids to make her feel better.
  • Her nose gets sore and chapped from all the blowing and sneezing and rubbing.
  • The house gets very, very nasty very, very quickly.
  • Children's laughter and squeals make her head hurt.
  • She misses breathing through her nose.
  • She gets addicted to nose spray. For real.
  • She still doesn't get to see her brand new niece that is almost three weeks old. Sigh.
  • She has really weird fever dreams and talks a lot in her sleep.
  • She wishes she felt better. Sigh.

My Baby

"Baby Caiden"
I wonder how long he will be "Baby Caiden?" Hopefully not when he is a freshman in high school. That would totally suck. He is growing so fast and wears me out. As I write this blog, he is sitting on the floor with a book on his lap reading it aloud to me. I just love him. He talks allllll the time, loves his daddy, loves Cars and robots. He is my little Dennis the Menace. He means well, but man, trouble just follows him around....

Big Boy

Corgan is almost 4. wow. He is no longer a "toddler" but he is a little boy. He loves to run and jump and play with "baby Caiden." He gives the best hugs and kisses and melts my heart when he says, "You are my favorite mommy in the whole world."

Caiden and GiGi Brown

Posted by Picasa

My grandmother and her husband moved across the street from my mom and dad (soooo sorry mom) and the boys have enjoyed going across the street to play. Grandma has alzheimers and is always so excited to meet the boys. Several times a visit. ;) Caiden really loves his great grandma Brown. He loves for her to hold him and snuggle with him, and she happily obliges. Corgan adores Great Grandpa Brown and has him neatly wrapped around his little finger. Aren't grandparents wonderful?

Ewwwwww....

So yesterday I was updating my blog. Corgan was watching "Super Why" (freaking cute show on PBS) and Caiden was playing in the kitchen with his cars. I click "Post" and decide Caiden's a bit too quiet in the kitchen and I need to check on him.

"Awww man! Who spilled the chocolate milk? Wait a minute. That's chunky. That's not chocolate milk! EWWWWW!!!!"

Needless to say, the stench had wafted to my nostrils at that moment and I realized someone's diaper couldn't hold his load. Honestly, I was gagging as I cleaned crap up off of the floor. Caiden, however, thought it was simply hilarious. Nasty, nasty, nasty.

So sorry, no pictures of this catastrophe...

THEN, just to show you what a neglectful horrible mother I am, I was getting gas yesterday, stepped out of the car, shut the door and realized I had LOCKED THE KIDS IN THE FREAKING CAR. I smooshed my face into Corgan's window and talked him through unbuckling his seat belt. More like, yelled, banged on the window and plead with Corgan to "PUSH THE RED BUTTON!!!! NO, THE RED ONE. CORGAN! HELLO!? STOP WATCHING DORA. NO! THE RED BUTTON. DO YOU WANT ICE CREAM? YEAH? PUSH THE RED BUTTON DANG IT!" BAM BAM BAM

He finally got it and I cannot tell you how relieved I was. Seriously twenty minutes had passed. Now I'm a little concerned that Corgan's new skill will be tried out on the freeway. I'll probably be tooling down the road when I'll look next to me and see Corgan climbing up to the front seat. Hmmm.... What the heck am I going to do?!

Water Fun!

Posted by Picasa

Corgan and Caiden discovered the water hose this summer! What's funny is Caiden didn't like Corgan to spray him with the water hose, but apparently didn't mind getting wet on his own terms...

Boy Band

Impromptu jam session with the boys....

We have Caiden on vocals, Corgan on guitar and Hudson with percussion. (Jenni is background vocals)

Corgan breaks it down with a guitar solo.

"Let's give it up for Corgan on the guitar!"

NO!!!!

Caiden's favorite word. "NO." When did we reach toddlerhood? Now that this little booger is 18 months old, he has really changed. He and Corgan couldn't be any more different if they came from different parents.

Case in point. At church on Sunday, we went to my brother's ward (congregation) to see my nephews perform in a presentation and Corgan was so sweet. He sat in his chair and drew pictures for the cute little girl sitting next to him. So quiet. So calm. I, on the other hand, participated in a full on aerobic session with my buddy Caiden. Holy mother of pearl. He is such a wiggle worm! And STRONG. I was seriously sweating trying to keep him still, chasing after him, holding him, etc. Finally, Aaron felt sorry for me, handed me his sleeping baby and took hold of Caiden. And he got a nice personal aerobic session with Caiden. I could market this idea. Members of the church could hold Caiden during church and get a nice workout. Burn calories while feeling the spirit! Hmm... The possibilities.

New words...

Oda - Soda
Car
Cracker
Cookie
Eeeeeez - Cheese
Shoe
Sock
Side - Outside
Peeeeze - Please
Day doo - Thank you
Dinnie - Candy

He also signs a ton. Bird, shoes, please, help, thank you, candy... He's doin GREAT!!!!

Long time, no write....

I know. I haven't written much lately. But really, there isn't much to say!

Corgan has started school again and is already getting in trouble for talking too much. You'd think the deaf kid class would be quiet, but it's one of the loudest classrooms in the school! Anyway, he came home from school the other day talking a mile a minute about how Taylor had told him to "SHHH!!!" and Miss Ray told Taylor to "be patient with Corgan." Now anytime I tell Corgan to be quiet, I am promptly admonished to "Be Patient with Corgan." Hmph.

Chuck E. Cheeses....

I went to Chuck E. Cheese with my girlfriend from High School last week and got some great shots of the boys playing hard. Caiden enjoyed climbing all over all of the rides and couldn't care less if I put a token in them or not, which was nice.
