Leap Frog...

Before Corgan was born, Travis, Mom and I went to Baby's R Us to buy all the baby essentials that we just HAD to have before the new arrival. Mom and I had picked out this play gym that had all these excited lights flashing and bells dinging and annoying sounds to stimulate the brain of a newborn. Or cause seizures. Whatever. Anyway, Travis saw this "educational" learning gym that taught things like counting in japanese or german, saying hello in french, and stuff like that, but didn't have a lot of "cool" features. Mom and I both thought, "BORING." But, Travis insisted and since Travis rarely insists on anything, I thought I'd throw him a bone and then laugh at him when the thing collected dust. Alas, I was mistaken. Not "wrong" mind you, just mistaken.

This toy has entertained for the two and a half years that we've had it! Corgan LOOOOVED it when he was a baby and actually kept him entertained during a twelve hour drive from Georgia to Texas. And I learned how to count to five in German, Japanese, French and Spanish. Added bonus! Now it is Caiden's most cherished toy. He will sit in his Bumbo and push the buttons and laugh and squeal while listening to the music. By far the best forty bucks we've EVER spent on these children!

"Um, excuse me. Do you mind?"

Tent Fun

The other day I walked into my bedroom to see Corgan, Caiden and Daddy camping out in the family "tent". It was so stinking cute, I had to grab the camera to get shots of their little legs sticking out from underneath the sheet.

Funny Kid...

The other evening I was getting Corgan ready for bed and kept pulling up his shorts like Steve Urkle. Corgan thought it was hilarious, walked around like a total dork and said, "I'm Daddy!!!"

Hee hee!!!

5 Months Old!!!

My little Buddy is FIVE MONTHS OLD!!! (Well, actually he's almost six months old, but these pictures were taken on his five month birthday so leave me alone.)

Caiden is loving to roll all over the floor, is getting to where he can push himself backwards, which really frustrates him because he's trying to reach the toys in FRONT of him. HE is a super sweet baby with a very deep voice. He coos and cuddles, playing with your hair on the back of your neck. He gets so excited when Corgan comes around, already worshipping his big brother!

Buddy Time....

Corgan wanted to read Caiden a nice story the other day...

"Ok Caiden. This story is about a depressed catapillar with low self-esteem named Percival. He felt very inadequate about his looks."

"So one day, Percival goes into a deep anesthesia induced slumber, and comes out lookin fierce, with very enhanced features..."

"Moral of the story is...

If at first you don't esteem,
Try, try to change.

Or something like that.

Maybe you can even do something about your ears."

You asked...

On my 17th birthday I was a cheerleader in high school and my birthday fell on a Friday. Fridays are a BIG deal in a Texas town during football season, so during lunch we had a pep rally. I was head cheerleader that week (we rotated so EVERYONE could feel special...) and had just said, "Ready?" for the last cheer. They didn't say, "OK!" I was really confused. One of the cheerleaders said, "Not yet!" And proceeded to lead the entire gym in an offkey rendition of Happy Birthday. It was so awesome!

My mom and brother were there for the pep rally and had brought me a balloon boquet with Diet Dr. Pepper and Junior Mints (which were my favorite things at the time). There were seventeen little mini boxes of junior mints with a memory of each year of my life taped to the box. I still have the little notes my mom wrote in a memory box in the attic! It was a lot of fun!

!!!UPDATE!!!

I think my air is finally fixed. YAHOO!!!! We had several days of very uncomfortable living conditions, but have finally maintained 76 degrees in the house for three whole days. It's a miracle. How on EARTH did people survive without AC?????

I will post more pictures of my adorable spawn soon. My camera will not connect to my computer, so I have to go to Walmart and get a picture cd made. Very convenient...
