Feeling Crappy....

I didn't go to church today because I woke up this morning feeling pretty crappy. I ate a ton of junk yesterday and my tummy didn't appreciate it! So, Corgan and I stayed home and just vegged out. Corgan slept in his crib last night from 1 until 10 this morning! Woo hoo! Progress!!!!!!

My house is a freakin wreck. I've been doing laundry all day and Corgan has been throwing Cheerios all over the house, pulling all the books off the shelves, flinging food in the kitchen, pulling pots and pans out of the drawers and basically being a terror. At least he's happy! To think my house was spotless just a couple of days ago.... Sigh.

I came across this really cute picture of Corgan in Emily's Bumbo chair. He just backed up to it and plopped in, getting kind of stuck in the process!

UPDATE!!!!

Ok people. Quit givin me a hard time! J/K! Things have been very crazy! Travis went to his parent's cabin in Colorado and was gone for FOUR WHOLE DAYS!!!!! I was by myself with Corgan.... alone. Allllllll alone. It was actually fine! Corgan and I had a great time together. We had a play date with our Gymboree buds, went to Jason's apartment to go swimming, got ice cream at Dairy Queen (mmmm.... Brownie Explosion is AMAZING....) and I had several classes to teach. Corgan stayed one day at Danielle's and I was so worried about him screaming for two and a half hours, but he did GREAT!!!!! Danielle is AMAZING! I just love her to bits!

Travis got home on Tuesday night and his mom came home with him. She hadn't seen Corgan in a loooong time and he just loved her. He had a lot of fun with his Grandma Cole.

I pushed myself a little bit too hard this week. On Tuesday I taught two LIFT classes, two Step classes on Wednesday, took a five and a half hour CPR certification on Thursday, then taught a class at 6 am Friday morning. I was so bone tired. I don't know why I pushed myself so hard with me being pregnant. I'm such a dork!

We went to the movies on Friday with Corgan and Grandma Cole. We saw Ant Bully and it was really cute! Corgan really enjoyed it. Then we left Corgan with Grandma and Travis and I went on a date! Woo hoo! We ate at this really awesome Thai restaurant and then went to see The Lady in the Water, which we really enjoyed. I like all of his movies.

We went to the circus with David, Danielle and Evan tonight and it was a lot of fun! Corgan really seemed to have fun with all the action. Evan was more interested in the funny looking people behind us! I've never been to the circus before and it was really neat! We'll have to go again next year.

Well, better get the little nugget ready for bed! Gotta go to church!!!!

Pickles & Mustard..... YUM!!!!

Ok, with this pregnancy I am definitely craving salty, salty, salty! I absolutely LOVE mustard in combination with just about anything. I had a big dill pickle and just scooped up the mustard. Mmmmm.... I'm so weird!

Travis is leaving for Colorado tomorrow. We'll miss him but he really needs a break from everything. He's off all next week so we'll get to hang out. His mom is going to come back with him. She hasn't seen Corgan for a looooooong time. She hasn't seen the booger walk yet! Now he RUNS!

Chrissy and Emily are coming over tomorrow morning to play. I have a class at 9 so Chrissy will stay with Corgan (he'll most likely still be asleep) then we're going to lunch with Danielle and Evan. Fun, fun!!!! Chrissy and I will then scoot on over to Fort Worth to oooh and ahhh over the newest addition to the Hayes Family, little Eric. He's finally out of the NICU and doing fabulously! I can't wait to get my hands on him!!!!

Hotter than HADES!!!!!!!

Today was freakin 107 degrees. HOT!!!! I hate summers in Texas! But, at least my airconditioner sort of works. Poor, poor Danielle! Her AC cut out on her last night and she was miserable. She called her apartment complex to tell them about it, and they really didn't seem too concerned. Now, if she didn't have a seven month old child at home as well as an animal, I might understand them taking care of some other things first, but she is a stay at home mommy and doesn't have a car to take her away from the heat. Can you believe the maintenance guy told her they were fixing a garage door before her AC? When Danielle (rightfully so) told the guy that her AC should take precedence, he said, "Well, this lady's been waiting for a few days and she has valuables." Ummm, hello? What is more valuable than a child's life? The heat was record high today! At 10 her apt was already 90 degrees and poor Evan had sweat dripping down his back. Danielle went to the office to raise hell and gave me a call and stayed at my house where it was a little cooler. Poor thing!

Danielle's day just had to get worse from there. Evan has just started crawling and is a little bit off balance and fell, hitting his head on one of Corgan's toys. This huge knot popped right up on his head. Danielle freaked. I remember the first time Corgan fell and bumped his head, I wasn't too calm either. Anyway, I got some frozen peas, slapped them on his head and we took him to the ER because Danielle was really worried. Evan only cried for about ten seconds and then was his usual flirty, smiley self. He's fine, but I bet he has quite a headache!!!

David met us at the hospital and after waiting FOREVER in the room, Evan was finally seen and deemed healthy and happy. Travis, Corgan, Danielle, David, Evan and I celebrated by going to Cristina's so I could get some tortilla soup. I was so proud of Danielle, she actually tried (and liked!!!!) Mexican food!!! Woo hoo!!!!

Anyway, I have two classes I'm teaching tomorrow and I am worn out! I'm hoping Corgan goes to sleep at a decent hour tonight cause I'm pooped! The only thing we have planned tomorrow is Gymboree. Then it's NAP CITY at Casa de Cole!!!!

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!

Corgan had an exciting announcement for this month's family dinner.....

Yes, it's true!!!! Corgan is going to be a BIG BROTHER!!!! Yippee!!!! I found out on Travis's birthday and have kept it secret for three weeks! It was tough, I tell ya. I was pretty shocked to say the least. I had pretty much decided that if I was going to have another kid, it was going to be a while, cause I had "things to do." You know REALLY important stuff, like, I don't know. Sleep? Anyway, Heavenly Father had a different agenda. I looked at my calendar on Travis's birthday, realized I was a bit late, and took a test. Just about fell off the pot. I didn't tell Travis until he came home from work, and I gave him his gifts and the last gift was a little bag. He had no clue what it was and was so excited when he saw the test!

I've felt pretty good. Tired, but good. I've had a few bouts of nausea, but nothing major. I want to eat soup all the time, which is kind of a pain in the butt because it's like 105 degrees outside!!!!

We went and saw the doctor for the first time on Thursday. He's awesome (thanks Danielle!!!!) and we were able to see the little nugget. I saw a heartbeat and he said that everything looks great! The baby (probably a girl....) is due on February 25. I'm going to shoot for a VBAC, so wish me luck!!!!

Temple Trip

On Thursday Travis and I got a sitter and were able to go and see our friends get sealed in the temple!!!! What an awesome experience! David and Danielle are such a great couple and it was such an honor to be invited to go. We WERE supposed to go through a session first, but while we were driving to the temple, I realized just about the time we were pulling into the parking lot that I FORGOT MY TEMPLE RECOMMEND!!!!! CRAP. Why is it that you can't just give em your driver's license and then they look it up in the system to see if you have a current recommend? Anyway, we had to turn around and go back to the house, get Corgan all riled up again and then finally got there in time for the sealing. I felt soooo bad. I really wanted to be there, but I am a ding dong. Can't help it. It's in my blood. (Sorry Mom....) Anyway, it made me really want to go to the temple more often. Definitely need to make it a priority.

Corgan was a monster for the babysitter. I felt so bad for her. I just don't know what I'm going to do about getting him to be good for a sitter. He freaks out any time he's away from me and Travis for any amount of time. He won't go to nursery, I can't get him to stay in the daycare at the gym. He cries the ENTIRE time. It is really frustrating. I need a break every once in a blue moon but I hate to leave him with anyone because I'm sure he drives them nuts. Any advise will be appreciated!!!!!

4th of July

Well, for the fourth of July, Travis, Corgan and I went to Hot Springs, Arkansas and stayed at a horse ranch there. We had a really great time! Corgan couldn't get enough of the ducks and horses and was just running around outside. He loves the outdoors! Travis has a future camping buddy! I can't wait for those weekends when father and son pack up their bags and spend quality time together in the great outdoors and leave me at home with a good book as company....

We ate a lot while we were there....

It was absolutely gorgeous in Hot Springs. Hot, but really nice. We got to see a cool fireworks show and also went to Magic Mountain, which is like Six Flags. We were there for about an hour and a half and probably spent about a hundred bucks on the dang thing. 8 BUCKS FOR PARKING?! Sheesh!!!! Tickets were 30 bucks a pop (thank heaven Corgan was free) and food was OUTRAGEOUS. Oh, well. Corgan had a ball and really enjoyed his first amusement park experience so it was worth it! His favorite ride was the airplane. He just stared at it and kept signing "airplane". He's just so smart!!!!

It rained pretty hard off and on during our ride home. I drove the whole way so when we got home I was beat. Travis and Corgan went over to the Jetton's for a barbecue and I stayed home and took a much needed nap.
