Happy Happy Birthday, Caiden Dear!!!

Holy crap. I can't believe it's been an entire year since Caiden was born!!! Time really, truly does fly by. He is such a big boy! We had a birthday party for him on Saturday and he had a great time. We had the cutest Handy Manny birthday cake (I'll have pictures posted later...), family, friends and balloons. Caiden couldn't care less about opening presents! I was sitting there opening his gifts and getting so excited as he wandered aimlessly around the room. Sheesh. Kids.

I am so blessed to be a mommy. I have two very special little guys to take care of and love. They bring joy to my heart and laughter to my days

Caiden has the funniest little smile where he crinkles up his nose and looks like he smelled something really raunchy....

Adventures

This picture totally cracked me up. I think it really hit home since just the other day I was pulled over. I was driving home from going to Gymboree with Caiden and was really regretting the 64 oz Diet Coke I'd had before class. I was bouncing up and down in my seat and thought I'd hold it until I got home, not realizing I kept driving faster, and faster and faster. Something about having to pee really, really, really bad causes a major case of lead foot. Anyway, I get pulled over and I am literally dancing in my seat, hand the guy my license and insurance and tell him to hurry, that mother nature is calling my name. Apparently I was going 57 in a 40. Just going with the flow, man!

Thought I'd try out the video feature. I haven't posted any videos and came across this one that still makes me laugh. Check out my big pregnant belly and have fun laughing at the awkward fat chick in the picture.

And Jodi, I may just have to post me singing my high school fight song! I remember all the cheerleading moves that go along with it. If only I still had my cheerleading uniform... Shudder...

Senior Year

My sister Chrissy had this on her blog, so I thought I'd fill it out for kicks and giggles... Or whatever.

1. Did you date someone from your school? Yes, lots of someones. And it was a really small school, so you always ended up dating someone's brother or ex-boyfriend. We thought of it as "keeping it in the family." Kind of disturbing if you think about it.

2. Did you win anything in Senior's Who's Who? "Most Popular."
3. What kind of car did you drive? Maroon Ford Escort

4. It's Friday night...where r u? Football or Basketball Game.
5. Were you a party animal? Pssh. Whatever.

6. Were you considered a flirt? Yeah. A bit.
7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Yup, a drummer.
8. Were you a nerd? Nah. But I am now!

9. Did you get suspended/expelled? No but I really got into big time trouble my Freshman year for sneaking out of my hotel room during a band trip. It was worth it.
10. Can you sing the fight song? Heck yes, I can!!!
11. Who were your favorite teachers? Mrs. Lochridge was awesome.... She could even make poetry interesting.
12. Where did you sit during lunch? We had open campus lunch since our school was so old and ghetto we didn't have a cafeteria. There were several of us that would always go over to my friend's house for lunch.

13.What was your school's full name? Honey Grove High School
14. School mascot? The Warriors

15. Did you go to Homecoming and who with? We didn't have a formal Homecoming Dance.
16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Mixed feelings about that. Part of me would love to, but part of me would hate to be back in that teenage angst and drama again.
17.What do you remember most about graduation? My brother and his wife holding up a sign as I was walking down the aisle that said, "You are going to be an Aunt!!!"
18. Where did you go senior skip day? I slept in.
19 Were you in any clubs? Yeah. All of them except the cow pokey ones.
20. Have u gained some weight since then? Gained and then lost and gained and lost and lost and lost and gained and lost.
21. Who was your Senior prom date?Thad Weems. He was pretty hot.

22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Didn't go. Wasn't ready for it yet.
23. Who was your home room teacher? My Algebra teacher - Miss Milton

24. Do you still talk to people from school? One or two.

Ok! Everyone is tagged!!!! Come on, you know you wanna!!!!

Tagged

I was tagged by Jodi. (I'm going to have to have someone show me how to do those link things) Thanks Jodi! I feel special!!!!

This is an interesting one...

Here's how it works:

1. Pick up the nearest book (one of at least 123 pages)

2. Open the page to 123

3. Find the 5th sentence.

4. Post the next 3 sentences

5. Tag 5 people.

The closest book to me is Patricia Cornwell's Point of Origin.

"Wellbutrin. Prozac weirded her out. One minute a zombie and bar-hopping the next."

Wow. Kinda makes you wonder what the heck that book is about. Anyway, I'm tagging Chrissy, Danielle, Tammie, Michael and Charlotte.

Why no pictures of Corgan?

You are probably wondering why there are no pictures of Corgan. Every time I point my camera at my three year old, this happens....

I remember laughing when I heard people say, "Oh, it's not the terrible twos. It's the terrible threes."

"Oh, Corgan is such a GOOD child. He'll be FINE."

WHATEVER.

Lent

At dinner the other night I turned to my dad and said, "Hey guess what! I gave up candy for Lent."

"That's great!"

Proud smile.

"You do know we're not Catholic, right?"

Did any of you decide to pretend you celebrated Lent and give up something?

Aaaand we're off!!!!

So Caiden started walking last week. He'd been "taking steps" for a while, but now we are in the drunk and disorderly walking stage. ..

"You lookin' at me?"

"I'm gonna getcha!!!"

"Or not."

We're not too good at it yet. He holds his hands up in the air, sticks his butt out and lifts his feet up high with every step! It's hilarious!!! I'll get a video of it soon, promise.

ELEVEN MONTHS OLD!!!!!

Caiden is ELEVEN MONTHS OLD!!!! I really, truly cannot believe my baby is almost one year old. My goodness time flies! He has started walking and it is too funny to watch! He dances and claps, and has such an awesome personality. Or personalities. In the space of five minutes, I saw many different sides of Baby Caiden!

Serious Caiden....

Death Stare Caiden...

Bashful Caiden...

Proud Caiden....

Which is your favorite?
