I must confess. I have issues. Serious, serious issues. Food issues. I love food. If you get between me and my meal, you'd better look out cause you're fixin to get smacked. I wasn't always this way. I think I began my food obsession in college, but that's another story for another day.
I don't understand those people that look at the clock and say, "Oh gee. I forgot to eat." Me, I'm always checking the clock, thinking, "Two more hours to dinner! I think I'll eat a cookie." That being said, on Friday I was on my way home from Paris and stopped off at a fast food establishment that will remain anonymous to protect the innocent. Now, having two kids in the car, I decided to go through the drive thru. It was already 2 and I hadn't eaten since that morning (that's a lie. I'd had a protein bar at 11, so I wasn't starving) and was becoming ravenous. I pull up to the speaker and wait. And wait.
"We'll be with you in a minute."
Ok. No biggee. Hmmm. Do I want the grilled chicken salad or the number 5. I think I want the number 5 so I can get fries, but I really need to be good and just get the salad. What to do what to do.
Five minutes pass of me debating between the salad and the trans fat laden french fry meal.
"We'll be with you in a minute."
"Ummm. Ok?"
Another five minutes pass and I finally place my order. I get the salad. I pull up, pay the nice woman in the drive thru and she tells me to pull ahead, that someone would bring my order right out. So, I pull up. I check my email, play solitaire, listen to Nemo, twiddle my thumbs, and wait. And wait. TWENTY FIVE MINUTES PASS BY!!!! Umm, helllooooo? This is FAST food?
I drive around and pull up to the drive thru window. I'm ticked. I'm hungry. And I want my money back. The lady in the drive thru window looked at me and said, "Hold on a minute, let me get you some crackers."
"No, actually I will NOT hold on a minute. I want my money back. I don't want the salad."
So after some more finger tapping and eye rolling, she gets my money back and I ask to speak to the manager. "He's the one that was handing this order." "And?"
The manager comes to the window. He's all of nineteen years old. He blows me off and sends me on my way.
Oh, no you didn't! I call the headquarters for this establishment and tattle. Yes, I did! I told them exactly what happened! I pulled into this joint at 2:10 and left saladless at 2:50. I was pissed. Like I said, you don't come between me and my food. I might bite. Hard.
By the way, I did stop later and got a grilled chicken salad. And a large order of fries. I burn lots of calories when I yell.

Happy Birthday to MEEEEE!!!!!
Yup. I used to be cute. Many, many years ago!!! I think Corgan looks a bit like me, dontcha think? Anyway, yesterday was my 27th birthday. So here are 27 random things about me!
1. I'm the youngest of 5, and yes. I was spoiled.
2. As spoiled as you can be when you are dirt poor, but whatever.
3. My heroes are my parents.
4. My dad went to medical school with five kids.
5. My mom supported him and worked from home so she could be there for all of us.
6. I've experienced both a c-section and natural childbirth. Both are miracles. And both hurt like the devil.
7. I've never excelled at anything, but have done a lot of things.
8. You never ever use alegbra. Unless you're an algebra teacher. And then you're just plain nuts.
9. Cadavers really do stink, but are fascinating.
10. My first kiss was when I was thirteen years old. Which was way too young. You were right mom!!!!
11. I love the Smashing Pumpkins. Obviously.
12. I have no clue on how to decorate. I'm a complete idiot. HELP DANIELLE!!!!!!!!!!!
13. I hate laundry. No matter how much you do, there's always more to be done. Sheesh.
14. I really love going to church. I always come away feeling better.
15. I'm not going to my ten year reunion. Is that bad?
16. There is no freaking way I will ever sky dive, bungee jump, or do any form of extreme sports.
17. I HATE as in H-A-T-E roller coasters.
18. My dream car is a minivan. So, so sad.
19. I love my husband. He gets on my nerves, but I really do love him.
20. I sing in the car.
21. I put my makeup on while driving. Very very bad, I know.
22. I'm always nice to drive thru workers. That job has to totally suck.
23. My very very first job was working in concessions at a movie theater. To this day I will NOT eat movie popcorn. I have a story about mice that I would probably get sued if I told.
24. I had to buy man's whitey tighty underwear for my boss's husband when he had a huge boil on his butt. ;)
25. I love to take naps with both of my boys. Corgan on one side, Caiden on the other.
26. I love my family. Every single one of them. They rock.
27. I say bad words. I know, I shouldn't, but sometimes no other word will do... It's something I'm working on!
So there you go. A couple of confessions and a few random thoughts. Stay tuned. A confession of epic proportions is to come soon!!! Don't miss it! ;)

What the heck?!
Ok. Caiden will be seven months old on Sunday and he is already crawling, pulling up, climbing, and sitting at the Little Tykes table with Corgan. I'm kinda freaked out!!!! I think I'm in for it with this one! He is so totally different from Corgan that I'm starting to think Nature over Nurture here.

So sweet....
The other day I took Caiden to the pediatrician for his six month check up. Here are his stats:
Head 45th percentile
Length 50th percentile
Weight 10th percentile
Ok. This weight thing is really bugging me. I mean, babies are supposed to be little chunky buckets of dimples and rolls. But my little guy is, well, kinda skinny. I think I'm shooting out skim. Poor guy!!!
When Caiden had his shots, Corgan stood by looking at Caiden with this really concerned look on his face. After he was pricked I scooped Caiden up to comfort him and Corgan came running over, gave Caiden a big hug and said, "It's ok Baby Caiden. Corgan's here." Isn't that sweet?! What a good big brother. I'll have to remember these good moments when they're fighting over toys in a couple of years!

Six Months OLD!!!
Oh my goodness. Where has the time gone!? My baby is SIX MONTHS OLD!!! Here are a few of the things he has accomplished: Sitting independently
- CRAWLING (This blows me away! Corgan didn't crawl until he was 10 months old!)
- Says "Da da" and "zzshshth" Whatever that means.
- Does NOT LIKE FRUIT! Weird child.
- Eats lots of veggies. Loves anything orange and has a lovely orangy glow to his skin.
Just look at those fingers!!! What a mess!

Kitchen Play
Nana and Grandpa got Corgan a really cool kitchen for his birthday present. Which is really cool since his birthday is actually on Christmas Day, so he gets all these presents all at once, so it was really nice to get a cool toy in the middle of the year! He LOVES it!!!! He was so excited when he woke up and found it all put together in the living room and got right to cooking. Caiden was pretty jazzed about it, too.
