NO!!!!

Caiden's favorite word. "NO." When did we reach toddlerhood? Now that this little booger is 18 months old, he has really changed. He and Corgan couldn't be any more different if they came from different parents.



Case in point. At church on Sunday, we went to my brother's ward (congregation) to see my nephews perform in a presentation and Corgan was so sweet. He sat in his chair and drew pictures for the cute little girl sitting next to him. So quiet. So calm. I, on the other hand, participated in a full on aerobic session with my buddy Caiden. Holy mother of pearl. He is such a wiggle worm! And STRONG. I was seriously sweating trying to keep him still, chasing after him, holding him, etc. Finally, Aaron felt sorry for me, handed me his sleeping baby and took hold of Caiden. And he got a nice personal aerobic session with Caiden. I could market this idea. Members of the church could hold Caiden during church and get a nice workout. Burn calories while feeling the spirit! Hmm... The possibilities.

Long time, no write....

I know. I haven't written much lately. But really, there isn't much to say!

Corgan has started school again and is already getting in trouble for talking too much. You'd think the deaf kid class would be quiet, but it's one of the loudest classrooms in the school! Anyway, he came home from school the other day talking a mile a minute about how Taylor had told him to "SHHH!!!" and Miss Ray told Taylor to "be patient with Corgan." Now anytime I tell Corgan to be quiet, I am promptly admonished to "Be Patient with Corgan." Hmph.

Chuck E. Cheeses....

I went to Chuck E. Cheese with my girlfriend from High School last week and got some great shots of the boys playing hard. Caiden enjoyed climbing all over all of the rides and couldn't care less if I put a token in them or not, which was nice.

Corgan decided he was a "warm" when it comes to his eye makeup, selecting the warm chocolate brown eye shadow to accentuate his hazel eyes.

I felt like it was the right choice for his skin tone.

P.S. Notice the wallpaper in the background? I decided to remove it and ended up taking off some of the sheetrock with it. Soooo.... I figure I'll have to have someone come out and texture over it. But, for now, we are going with the "white trash" look that is all the craze right now.

Does this make a statement or what? Corgan dressed himself and was all ready to go to the movies. I just couldn't let him go like this though. Because, seriously. When you see a kid dressed like this, don't you think the mother is a little nutty?

Moment

Corgan really loves his brother. I think the feeling is mutual...

Caiden sure is BLONDE!!!!

I can't believe how much my boys have grown. On one hand, it makes me sad, because I miss the baby smell, the pudgy toes, the toothless grins... But on the other, I love the little moments like the one above. I love when Corgan tells me he wants to play with Baby Caiden. I love how Caiden runs up to Corgan, wraps his arms around his neck and kisses him. I love to watch them play together and laugh together. I even get a kick out of it when Caiden smacks Corgan around a little bit because, let's face it, Corgan kind of deserves it...

Funny Man

One of my FAVORITE things about Caiden is his laugh! It is a sound that warms my heart! Here he was cracking up at his Daddy...

I love his smile! You can see ALLLLLL of his many many teeth.

"Oh, Daddy! You are freaking HILARIOUS!!!"

New Camera!

As a reward for potty training Corgan (more on that in later posts), I bought myself a new camera. I lost my last camera back in May when we went on our family vacation to Beaver's Bend. Sigh. Anyway, that is the main reason I haven't been blogging. Because, really, who wants to read my long, boring diatribes anyway?

I have nooooo idea where he gets this look....

Corgan has a shirt that says, "I look like Mom but I act like Dad." Travis thinks we should get a shirt for Caiden that says, "I look like Dad but I act like Mom." Whatever.

Growing Up

Here are some interesting things about Caiden:

1. He loves robots and carries around this robot we got from a happy meal everwhere. He takes it to the gym, he carries it around the house, he holds it in the bath, he eats his dinner with it by his side.

2. Caiden loves animals. Especially birds, dogs and fish. He signs "bird" and "fish" very well!!!

3. Caiden's vocabulary...
-"Di" (bye)
-"Hi"
-"Mama" (by far my favorite word in the entire english language)
-"Dada"
- "Nana"
-"Soos" (shoes)
-"Si" (outside)
- "Dee" (drink)
-"Yeah"
-"Sat" (what's that?)
- "digga digga digga digga" (no freaking clue.)

4. He is a CLIMBER. We've already had one trip in the ambulance to the emergency room for this kid. Everything was ok. Only a mild concussion and a nasty bruise on his ear. Goober.

5. He wears a size 6 shoe. Corgan wears a 9. This kid has long, skinny feet!!!!

6. He gives the sweetest kisses and hugs!

Big Stuff...

Corgan is just growing by leaps and bounds. In fact, this weekend he is staying at Nana and Grumpa's house all by himself! They are having so much fun that when I called this morning to talk to him, he refused to talk to me, and put the phone as far away from him as possible. Toot. Apparently he doesn't miss me too much.

He has a new favorite word. "Poopy." He says it allllll the time. In fact, he taught one of his little girl friends the fine art of yelling "POOPY" as you throw a toy up in the air. I guess it's better than him saying, "Crap." or "Butt Nugget." There are definitely worse things...

The other day I asked Corgan to clean up his lunch and he said, "No. Mommy does that." "Oh, no sir! You need to get in here and clean up your lunch, please!" Corgan turns around, rolls his eyes, gives me a deep sigh and says, "Okay. Sorrrrry." Hello? When did you reach your teen years?
