Me thinks Corgan needs some more speech therapy. His words are a bit... confused. Let me know what you think....

What the...?
I have nooooo idea where he gets this look....
Corgan has a shirt that says, "I look like Mom but I act like Dad." Travis thinks we should get a shirt for Caiden that says, "I look like Dad but I act like Mom." Whatever.

Growing Up
Here are some interesting things about Caiden:
1. He loves robots and carries around this robot we got from a happy meal everwhere. He takes it to the gym, he carries it around the house, he holds it in the bath, he eats his dinner with it by his side.
2. Caiden loves animals. Especially birds, dogs and fish. He signs "bird" and "fish" very well!!!
3. Caiden's vocabulary...
-"Di" (bye)
-"Hi"
-"Mama" (by far my favorite word in the entire english language)
-"Dada"
- "Nana"
-"Soos" (shoes)
-"Si" (outside)
- "Dee" (drink)
-"Yeah"
-"Sat" (what's that?)
- "digga digga digga digga" (no freaking clue.)
4. He is a CLIMBER. We've already had one trip in the ambulance to the emergency room for this kid. Everything was ok. Only a mild concussion and a nasty bruise on his ear. Goober.
5. He wears a size 6 shoe. Corgan wears a 9. This kid has long, skinny feet!!!!
6. He gives the sweetest kisses and hugs!

Big Stuff...
Corgan is just growing by leaps and bounds. In fact, this weekend he is staying at Nana and Grumpa's house all by himself! They are having so much fun that when I called this morning to talk to him, he refused to talk to me, and put the phone as far away from him as possible. Toot. Apparently he doesn't miss me too much.
He has a new favorite word. "Poopy." He says it allllll the time. In fact, he taught one of his little girl friends the fine art of yelling "POOPY" as you throw a toy up in the air. I guess it's better than him saying, "Crap." or "Butt Nugget." There are definitely worse things...
The other day I asked Corgan to clean up his lunch and he said, "No. Mommy does that." "Oh, no sir! You need to get in here and clean up your lunch, please!" Corgan turns around, rolls his eyes, gives me a deep sigh and says, "Okay. Sorrrrry." Hello? When did you reach your teen years?

Humpty Dumpty Day
Caiden had his 15 month well baby visit today and all is well. He is still freaking skinny, 15th percentile, but is average for length and head. He didn't get his immunizations today because he was running a fever for the last couple of days, and I just wanted to play it safe.
When we got home I decided we were going to have a Humpty Dumpty Day. I boiled a bunch of eggs and drew a few pictures for the boys to color. The first was a picture of Humpty Dumpty, the next was of him falling off the wall, and the third was a picture of a broken Humpty Dumpty with a horse and the king's men. Corgan had a blast using his watercolors to color the pictures. Then we played with playdoh and made little horses and crashed a playdoh egg over and over. When the eggs were done, I drew little faces on them and Corgan acted out the whole Humpty Dumpty story for me. We ate looooots of eggs for lunch today!
I've decided to try to pick a theme for every day that they aren't at summer camp. We'll pick a book and do a craft that corresponds. I wish I could take credit for this great idea, but I'll give credit where credit is due....

My mom came across this blog and turned me on to it. This woman has some of the best ideas!!!
I wish I could say that I have some fantastic pictures of today, but no camera. Sorry folks. Use your imagination.

Craziness
Things have been busy! Corgan has been having some really bad nosebleeds and ear infections, so we went to the ENT on Tuesday and Dr. Bauer said he would like to get his adenoids removed, tubes put in his ears and his left nostril cauterized. And can we do it Friday? WHAT?!
So we (and I use that "we" term loosely) scrambled to get the funds together and schedules rearranged in order to have Corgan ready to go first thing Friday morning. Travis stayed home with Caiden while Corgan and I went to the Pediatric Surgery Center at 7:45 Friday morning.
The surgery went well, but Corgan really didn't like coming out of the anesthesia. He really cried and said, "It hurts!" and was really miserable. It BROKE my heart. I don't know how the nurses do it, listening to all these small children crying and hurting. When he was finally able to come home, he laid in the bed and slept for four hours. He threw up a couple of times, but all in all did ok.
Then, CAIDEN was up most of the night with a fever! AAAHHHH!!! Two sick kiddos at the same time?! Sheesh. Thankfully I had subbed out my Saturday classes so I was able to sleep in a little bit the next morning. Caiden kept a low grade fever going during the day and at night spiked to 103. On Sunday he seemed his normal self, but....
CORGAN started running a fever! He had two red splotches on his cheeks and really glassy eyes and looked pretty miserable. I took him to the doctor today and he has Fifth Disease, which is only contagious BEFORE the rash. Sorry everyone.
After we got home from the doctor, Corgan climbed up on the couch and fell asleep for an hour. Then, woke up, crawled into bed with me and Caiden and slept for another two hours. When he woke up, he laid in my bed and watched Iron Giant (his favorite).
It is so hard to watch your children be in pain. Whenever I ask Corgan if he's ok, he shakes his head and says, "No. I'm not bine." We don't quite have our "f's" down properly.
Oh, and I lost my camera. So, sorry folks. No pictures.

Do you ever wonder....?
If your child has "special needs"?
Corgan had his swimming trunks on his head the other day and pretended he was a bug. He was cracking himself up! What a nutter. I have NO idea where he gets it.

Melt
When did it happen? When did I blink? I was looking through my pictures and came across this one of me and Caiden at our last year's reunion. He was only three months old. Pretty much still a lump, but an adorable, drooly lump.
I miss the newborn smell. I miss the loooooong naps he used to take. I miss the gummy grins and first laughs. But you know what? I love the sloppy kisses he gives me now. I love the way he says, "See 'at?" about everything. I love how he brings me books to read and gets so excited when I put him in my lap to read the book over, and over and over... I love this little guy.

FUN!!!!!
(Obviously not a picture of yours truly)
Well, it happened again! I found a new workout that I totally, completely, one hundred percent love!!!! The company Everlast (they make sporting goods like boxing gloves and bags) teamed up with 24 Hour to create a new workout called Everlast Shadow Boxing. It is soooo much fun! It's a combination of boxing drills with athletic intervals (jumping rope, plyometrics, fun stuff like that) and it is AMAZING!!!! I get to teach it twice a week and wish I could do it every day! Right now I'm teaching so many freaking classes a week that I can't keep track. Honestly. I think last week I taught 16 or some ridiculous number like that. It really is absurd. But I. Can't. Stop. Is this a problem? Should I seek professional help? Am I mental?

What a boy
Just look at those scrapes and bruises. He is such a little hellion, I mean, boy. The scratch by his nose is from wrestling with his brother. The bruise on his cheek is from who the heck knows. The bruise on his forehead is from climbing on the chair in the kitchen. The scratch on his ear is from him grabbing his ear in a fit of rage. Yes, he's a mess. But he's all mine!

Multi Tasking
Corgan was having a chat with his old bud, Lightning McQueen the other day at the dinner table, despite my rule about not talking on the phone during dinner, but whatever.
"Yeah, my mom keeps trying to get me to eat vegetables. I keep trying to say 'ketchup is a vegetable."
"Um, hello? I'm on the phone.""Yeah, my mom keeps trying to get me to eat vegetables. I keep trying to say 'ketchup is a vegetable."
"Sheesh. Sorry about that bud. You know how moms are. As soon as you're on the phone they're in your face."

One Tiny Piece...
Of chocolate. Seriously, it was tiny. But it sure went a looooong way! Look at his TOES!
"If you rub it in like this, it does WONDERS for your complexion..."
"... and man, does it taste good!!!"
"So, leave me alone so I can finish Veggie Tales, k?"
P.S. Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I've been in a "funk". I'm still kinda in it, but decided to get over myself and post some pictures of sheer cuteness. Just cause I love ya. ;)

Yes, it's true...
When I tell people that I wear bright red or blue pants to teach aerobics they look at me a little oddly. When I add that I wear a studded belt, they really think I'm weird. When I tell them my hair is in piggies, well, enough said. No one seems to believe me. Well, here's proof....
Now I only do this with my TKB (Turbo Kick Boxing) classes. These classes are a blast!!! And wearing crazy stuff just goes with the format. And it's fun. Sure, I look like a total dork when I go to walmart with my studded belt, bright pants, piggies and full makeup, but when I'm in front of the class teaching, it just adds to the atmosphere. Really. It does.
And I have those pants in blue, red and black. If they had purple, well, I'd buy those too. Yes, I would.

Boys!
Caiden was totally dishing it out and in the end gave Corgan a bloody nose. But they were having fun while it lasted! Now whenever Corgan gets home from school, Caiden comes up behind him, grabs him around the waist and pulls him down to the ground. What a mess!!!
I had someone the other day tell me that I looked like the mother of boys. What the heck is that supposed to mean? Could it be my baseball cap I wear instead of fixing my hair? Is it the big honking bruise on my calf from being beaned by some random car? Or maybe it's the dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep? My wardrobe of jeans and a t-shirt probably don't help much either. Hmph. What do you think? Do I look like the mother of boys?
