Kodak Moments....

Why is it that you never have your camera when the perfect Kodak moment presents itself?! Yesterday we went to the park with some friends and Corgan and his buddy Zach were so cute. They were sitting up on the playground just talking to eachother and then went for a walk together in the soccer field. Zach would go up and hug Corgan and then Corgan would plant a wet one on him. Liz (Zach's mom) said that Zach didn't want to have anything to do with the other kids but when Corgan got there they were attached at the hip. It was so funny, Corgan was running around and fell down and Zach busted out laughing and then fell down too because he wanted to be like Corgan. Sooooo dang cute.

Corgan got some new snazzy slippers that he just adores and wants to wear them everywhere. He walks around and just stares down at his feet and cracks up! It's the cutest thing!

Sooooo tired.....

I know I've been really lazy about keeping my blog up to date, but I've been busy (as usual....). I've really worn myself out! I made a decision to quit the classes I was teaching on Thursdays since I had to drive a total of two and a half hours since I taught twice a day, once at 9:30 and then at 6:45. Poor Corgan and I were just in the car forever. With gas prices the way they were, it was NOT worth it. So I taught my last class there on Thursday. The manager tried to make me feel guilty for bailing, but you know what? I need to take care of my baby, myself and my son. Sheesh. Some people. Now I have Thursdays and Fridays off!!!! Woo hoo!!!!

Corgan is doing fantastic! He's talking like crazy and getting so much better about going to nursery and I've been taking him to this drop off day care on occasion and he does so well. On Friday I had one of the girls in the ward watch him at her house so I could get stuff done (YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I GOT DONE IN THREE HOURS!!!!) and when I went to pick him up, he didn't want to leave! He gave her two big hugs goodbye. I love my son so much, but it is GREAT to get a break once in a while. It's good for my sanity level. I don't know if it's just the pregnancy, but lately I have felt completely overwhelmed and distraught, so getting a break, even an hour, makes all the difference in the world.

My sister is one of the most clever people I know and for Halloween she dressed her little girl up as a cheerleader. To complete the ensemble, she matched yarn to Emily's haircolor and made pigtails! The results are priceless. Travis thought she looked quite a bit like a cheerleader cabbage patch doll. What do you think?

Drumroll please..........

Ok. So I took some candy to my class on Friday because I keep telling my classes that I'm going to bring them a treat when I find out what I'm having. I thought I'd be able to get a pink treat or a blue treat. Maybe around Easter that would be possible, but not halloween! Soooo, for all you who are DYING to know whether I am having a boy or a girl, I brought Almond Joys to class. Because Almond Joys have nuts, Mounds don't. Get it? IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"One, Two, Three!!!!"

Nana stayed with us last week and taught Corgan how to say, "One, two, three!" I about fell over. He even held his fingers up and everything. It was the CUTEST thing!!!!! He absolutely loves his Nana and was so sad when she left. He got up the next morning and searched the house for her. It was so sweet.

"One....."

"Two...."

"Three!" (he's signing "more" right here.....)

"I love Nana!!!!"

Pumpkin Patch Fun!!!!

We had a LOT of fun on Friday going to the Pumpkin Patch in Flower Mound. We met the Michaels and the Hayes Family there. Corgan loves pumpkins and had a lot of fun going on a hayride with his cousins. Here are some pics from our grand adventure!!!!

Timber!!!!!!!!!! Nick enjoyed pulling his brother and cousin around on one of the many wagons there.
Handsome Uncle Michael and Corgan
What the heck is Mommy doing? Is there a POINT to this?
Now kids, if you don't listen to your parents, this could be your future home....

Sick house!

Everyone in the house is sick! Corgan has a sinus infection and Travis and I both have the cold he started with. Lucky for Travis he can actually TAKE something. However, I am stuck with sudafed and tylenol. Sigh.... I had to teach a class today since I couldn't find anyone to sub for me. It kind of ticked me of that out of fifty plus instructors not a ONE would sub for me. Butt nuggets.

We went to the Wiggles place and I thought I'd better check the car out, make sure it was safe before driving.

Always look both ways before pulling out....

People say I drive like Nana, but at least I'm cautious!

Mommy didn't want her icecream. Crazy lady. It was dang good!

Wiggles!

Oh man. We had so much fun on Monday at the new Wiggles Playcenter in Frisco! It opened up about a week ago and we went there for playgroup. It was great! Corgan had so much fun driving around in the big red car and climbing up the play areas. I took a bunch of pictures but I can't seem to download them onto my computer to put them on the blog, so I'll post them when Travis can look at it. Anyway, we had a ball! I think that's where we're going to have Corgan's birthday party, so everyone mark your calendars for December 29th!

Travis is in New York on business, so last minute I begged Mom to come down and stay with me while he's gone. She kept asking me what I wanted for my birthday and I figured this was the best present I could get. A break! I've been getting a lot of stuff done around the house - pictures hung, that sort of thing. Corgan loves Nana, so it's been really nice. He's actually been acting pretty cranky and has been running a fever, so it's a good thing she was here to watch him so I didn't have to cancel my classes. Whew!

Corgan had speech therapy today with Abbey (who he absolutely adores) and he did fantastic. He is really imitating well and she about fell over when he said, "Mommy!" He'd been saying "Nana" for mama and she was so excited to hear him say his M's. He's really growing by leaps and bounds and is communicating very well.

This weekend we are going to go to Nick and Carter's soccer games! I can't wait to see them play. Nick's been playing for a few years and this is Carter's very first year. Should be a hoot!

Playdough!!!!

One of the most wonderful creations of all time. Playdough. It can keep Corgan entertained for about an hour! It's fantastic! Of course, Playdough gets all over the kitchen, but no big deal! At least I get some time to clean!

This week was very full! Corgan fully recovered from H,F & M and we proceeded to get back into our regular schedule which really wore us out! I finally talked to my manager and told her that I had to cut down my classes since I was spreading myself too thin. I got rid of my Wednesday night class since it always made me late for YW and made for an extremely long night. Corgan and I wouldn't get home until around 8:30 or 9. Poor kid!

*yawn*

I am exhausted. I taught a 6 am class and when I came home Corgan was awake and ready for the day! Grrrr..... Travis "worked" from home today, so we went to breakfast at Whataburger - I am absolutely addicted to their eggs. Travis let me sleep for about an hour when we got home and then it was off to my day at the spa! I got one of the BEST massages I have EVER had! And I've had a lot! This woman was really tiny. She packs a powerful punch! My hamstring had been acting up where I couldn't stretch it and boy did she work me over! I feel FANTASTIC now. I highly recommend her. It was ninety minutes of heaven....

After my massage I got a facial by this really sweet lady from Russia. I love accents and hers was so cute. She was wonderful. THEN, I had a spa pedicure where this woman rubbed my legs and feet with hot stones. Droooooool.....

Needless to say, it was a lovely day. Yeah for Travis! He didn't get any work done, but got to spend the day playing with Corgan. Can't pass that up!

Corgan's doing fantastic. His last blister is just about healed. I got a call from Aaron today. He just wanted to send me a great big "Thanks!" Apparently it's Nick's turn. Sigh.... He has blisters on his hands and some in his mouth. Poor guy. Nick was so sweet at the family get together that he was sharing his chicken strips with Corgan, but Corgan kept "double dipping" in Nick's sauce. We won't be doing that again....

Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous and Corgan and I played outside. He loves to swing and just cracked up the whole time we were out there. I got some good pics:

Corgan has this whole "throwing thing". Here's a picture Mid Chunk:

He built this all by himself! Daddy was so proud:

Tooooooo cute:

Corgan LOVES stickers and likes to put them all over his body!

Corgan is "sick"....

Lovely face, Corgan.... But you can see the blister on his big toe......

Studying like Daddy

They reason I put sick in quotes is because technically he is sick.... He has Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease, which is pretty contagious, however he is currently running around the house, talking at the top of his lungs, laughing and playing. Oh, yeah. He's "sick". He started breaking out with these blisters on his feet on Monday so I took him to the doctor's office and they told me that he has Hand, Foot and Mouth. Oh, yeah. Joy. It can get pretty nasty, with sores in the mouth that really hurt so they don't want to eat or drink. It lasts for about a week to ten days, depending on the severity. LUCKILY Corgan doesn't have any sores in his mouth AT ALL. He is eating like a horse and hasn't run a fever or anything. His blisters are already healing, so it looks like it was a very mild case. Thank heaven. However, Corgan has infected about a third of the metroplex and I was on the phone all evening telling people that their kids will more than likely get it. He was around his cousins on Saturday, Evan on Sunday, nursery kids on Sunday, playgroup on Monday, and the daycare at the gym every day that week.

What really ticked me off was that the nurse practioner told me he wasn't contagious anymore once he broke out with the blisters. Not so says every freakin website on the subject. That really ticked me off. I could have infected even more kids! Maybe they're just trying to get more business. Butt nuggets.

Yesterday was my birthday and we spent it sequestered in the house. It was actually kind of nice to just lay low for once. I've had to get subs for all of my classes this week, so I have had a nice, quiet week.

Travis got this freaking amazing carrot cake (my FAVORITE!!!!) and on Friday he is working from home so I can have a half day at the spa. Sigh.... I am SO looking forward to that!

Well, Travis needs to get on the computer so he can do some school work. I'll keep you posted on my boring week!

Busy Weekend

We had a great weekend! Mom and Dad came down on Friday and we went out to eat and to the Church bookstore. I love going there! We got a cool DVD for FHE that has the lesson, scripture, and song on it, so all you need to add is refreshments! It's a cute cartoon of the Joseph Smith story, so I think that Corgan will like it. It's the lazy family's way of doing FHE, but hey, at least we're doing it!!!!

Saturday I dropped Mom off at Hobby Lobby while I taught a class and she got to shop for about an hour and a half at her leisure! She bought this huge Christmas tree and luckily it fit in my Expedition! Afterwards we went to Mimi's for lunch and it was great to have a nice meal without interruption (although we did miss Corgan!).

After that, Corgan and I went to a Heavenly Toes party (check out the link http://heavenlytoes.com/ ) and got a present for my mom for her birthday! You get your child's foot or hand print put on a piece of pottery and then an artist creates a really cool picture on it. They have things for Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving and all year round. It's really pretty neat! We'll see how it turns out. The woman who did Corgan's feet said he was by far the most difficult child she had ever tried. It took all of my strength to keep him from kicking the plate (or the woman in the head) and he cried like he was dying. Then Konner gets up there (one of my friend's little boys) and he just sits there like an angel and doesn't even move. Sheesh. Corgan is so DRAMATIC!!!!! Anyway, the piece will be back in a few weeks and I'll take a picture of it.

Then we went to the Michael's for the family dinner. My cousin Matt was there from California and we haven't seen him in about eleven years! It was really nice to see him and visit with him. He's a good guy.

Today was church and then the Bryan's came over for dinner. Travis cooked on the grill, even though it was raining (he's nuts) and we had a great dinner. They are awesome! We played a Friend's Trivia Game that Danielle and I won (of course).

Now I am tuckered out and I have a class at 6 that I hope I make it to.... ;) Night!

I'm a big dork....

Well, the Pregnancy Brain has settled in. I'm losing it. On Wednesday I had a 6 am class and woke up at 6:30!!!! Crap! Then today I was teaching a class and I ended it 15 minutes early! I thought class was over at 7:30, when it was actually 7:45. I am a huge dork. None of the people seemed to mind. They said I had killed them in the forty five minutes I taught, so I guess that's good. Sort of!

Corgan and I have been busy, busy, busy!!!! He's been doing super well in the kid's clubs at the gyms and at one of the gyms there's a lady there that was teaching him new signs! She is going to school to be an interpreter for the deaf and she taught him how to sign "friend." It was so dang cute!

Nothing really new here. Just tired. With Travis going back to school it's really been hard on me. I don't ever get a break! He's studying in the evenings so I've got bath duty, cleaning duty, bed duty, diaper duty, etc duty all day long. Sun up to sun down. Sigh....

I would post some cute pics of Corgan but I can't seem to download them onto the computer. Sheesh. I'll try and get some on here tomorrow!!!!

I don't have a class tomorrow! WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO! I get a day off! I'm so EXCITED!

Check Up

I had my sixteen week checkup today and was able to finally hear the baby's heartbeat!!!!! That is such an awesome moment to hear the woosh woosh of the little heart beating. Pregnancy is so amazing, isn't it?! I'm feeling little kicks every now and then and am starting to notice a rounding of my belly. In five weeks I find out if I'm having a girl or a boy!!!! I can't wait!!!! I remember how nervous I was in finding out what Corgan was.

I am so beat. I taught eight classes since Monday. Sheesh. I'm flat worn out! I don't have anything again until Sunday, and I am grateful for the break!

And so it begins....

Travis is training him early.... He and Corgan were playing video games last night and Corgan got to where he could play by himself! His character kept jumping into the lake and dying, but he knew how to move the guy and make him jump. Scary!!!!

Travis is going back to school to finish his bachelor's. He's going to Devry and getting his degree in, get this, Gaming and Simulation. They seriously have a degree in gaming. He's so excited!!!! He got his first textbook and has been reading it non stop! He'll be finished with the whole book before his first class on Friday! I am so happy for him that he's found something that he really enjoys and can make a career of it. He is really frustrated with his job and doesn't feel challenged anymore. This will be good for him! He goes Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. Hopefully all goes well!!!!

"Cudder!!!!"

Corgan has these really cool markers that color only on "magic paper" and yesterday he came up to me and said, "Cudder! Cudder! Want cudder!" He wanted me to color with him. I love listening to him jabber!

Feeling yucky.

I hate this in between stage of pregnancy where your pants really don't fit anymore and you look like you're just getting fat. It's too early to wear maternity clothes, but your regular clothes make you feel like a sausage. Needless to say, I won't be posting any pics of myself for quite some time!!!!

Corgan is doing GREAT! He's getting up earlier, which makes my life a lot easier in some ways. I seem to get more done during the day, but at the same time, so does he! I was going around cleaning the house and he was following behind me messing it up. Sigh. I don't even know why I bother!!!!

I've been teaching classes like crazy! I'm having a BLAST and now have 7, maybe 8 permanent classes. Not too shabby for having just started teaching a few months ago! My goal is 8 a week.

I taught the Young Women a strength class on Wednesday night and they about died!!! I think they are probably pretty sore today! It was fun, though. I want them to get in the habit now of taking care of their bodies.

Ravioli Catastrophe!!!!

Corgan loves Ravioli's! We'll just have to wait to give them to him until right before his bath!!!!!

Long time no write...

I have been horrendous about keeping my blog up to date. Hate to disappoint my fan base. J/K! Things have been crazy (like that's any different than usual!) and Corgan has been fabulous! We fixed the fireplace so he shouldn't (HOPEFULLY) whack his head on it again. We put some nice pillows on it and he loves to sit up there and relax.

He doesn't even try to take the pillows off and they add more seating in our living room. Thanks Mom!!!! Great idea!

This week I went to an aerobics convention down in downtown Dallas. I stayed at the Fairmont Hotel, which was very snazzy, and Mom came down and watched Corgan. He did great with her, but I really missed him and Travis. I was there from Tuesday night to this morning! LONG convention!!!! It was so awesome! I was able to meet a lot of the aerobics instructors that I watch on video and really admire. They were so down to earth. I really got to know Gay Gasper since I was a staff assistant at her workshops all day Wednesday and Thursday. I also got to meet Mindy Mylrea, Keli Roberts, Douglas Brooks, Sara Kooperman, the list goes on and on. It really won't mean anything to anyone who doesn't do workout videos but it was an awesome opportunity!!! I'm definitely going to try to go back next year, but it's going to take some real scheduling on my part with me having a new baby and breastfeeding. I told mom she could come and stay with me at the hotel and I could come up between sessions and feed the baby, but Corgan would go NUTS in a hotel room.

Travis and Corgan went to the Rangers game last night with Danielle, David and Evan. They had a really good time! Travis said he ate a ton of cotton candy and had fun, except of the ride home. Apparently he was an enormous monster and screamed the whole way home! Glad I wasn't there for that!!!

My parent's 40th anniversary is coming up so the family got together and had a surprise dinner for them at a really great Italian place in Hurst. Great food and it was a lot of fun. I wish Corgan and Travis could have been there but they had fun at the ballgame!

Travis and Corgan spent the night with me at the hotel last night and we went together to Eric's blessing in Ft. Worth. He is such a cutie patootie and he is getting chunky! Everyone was there and it is always so nice to have the whole family together. It is so neat that we all get along and have fun together! After sacrament meeting we went over to Aaron and Tammie's for brunch. When we came home Corgan and I crashed for about three and a half hours. IT WAS WONDERFUL. I am such a nap taker.

Tomorrow I have a 6 am class and then playgroup. I'll take pics of the playgroup and start updating my blog more often. I'm such a lazy butt.

Vacation Weekend

Well, to get you all up to speed, this weekend Travis bought me a vacation weekend!!!! He got me a room at the Richardson Hotel, very shnazzy, and I got the whole weekend off while he took over Corgan duty! What an AWESOME husband! He's the best! Of course, on Friday night I couldn't sleep because I kept dreaming that Corgan was crying and I also had a really sore throat. But, it was wonderful to have an entire bed to myself and have some QUIET! The tv wasn't going, the phone didn't ring, there was no kid screaming, "na na!!!" It was amazing. Of course on Saturday I missed my boys so much that I had to have them come visit me, but only for about an hour. I felt like such crap that I just ate some chicken noodle soup and went to bed, sleeping in until about 11 on Sunday morning!!

I came home on Sunday to change for church and Travis was still home. I was wondering why the heck he wasn't at church and he said he and Corgan got stuck in the laundry room while he was ironing a shirt! The doorknob had broken off and he was stuck in there for over an HOUR! He had to break the door in order to get out! I was cracking up!!!! I wish I'd been there!

I've been taking it really easy this week since I've felt really really awful and can't take ANYTHING because I'm pregnant. I didn't have any classes scheduled this week and that really turned out to be a blessing. I needed to take it easy.

Today Corgan and I played with Tommy Elhert. He came over because his mommy was working and his daddy had to go take a test. Corgan had so much fun and Tommy was a real sweetie. He and Corgan kept hugging and Tommy would say to me, "I love you!" How dang sweet is that?
